Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Food Service Associate to manage patient meals, tray assembly, and delivery on assigned units. You will address diet orders, accommodate dietary restrictions, and coordinate with Nursing to ensure accurate nutrition care and timely service.

The role requires strong communication and knowledge of modified diets, with attention to cultural preferences and patient satisfaction. Working hours include 7a-7p with alternating weekends in a 40-hour week.

Qualifikationen

• Explain menu options and diet options to patients and families.
• Assess safety issues for different age groups (infants to elderly).
• Knowledge of modified diets and related restrictions.
• Offer alternatives within prescribed diets respecting cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Observe special meal accommodations for birthdays/anniversaries.
• Gather and process menu selections and diet orders.
• Calculate preparation times to meet temperature controls.
• Ensure transport retherm carts are delivered on time.
