Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks a Patient Dining Associate at Johnson City Medical Center to support patient meal service on assigned units.

Responsibilities include helping patients select menus, assembling and delivering meals, and coordinating with nursing and culinary teams to meet dietary requirements. Must have food service experience and be able to lift up to 100 pounds; schedule is 6:00 am–2:30 pm with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or dietary preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO standards; follow HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for handling food, cleaning stations, and breaking down tray line.
• Follow facility infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets or calory counts.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete all required reports as per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
