Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring for full-time and part-time Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) at Baptist Health Princeton Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Employees work 6:30 am–6:30 pm or 6:30 am–12:30 pm or 12:30 pm–6:30 pm with varying days and shifts.

As a Patient Dining Associate you help patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and support dietary needs on assigned units.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, dietary preferences, or other needs.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays from patient rooms on schedule.
• Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO standards; uphold HIPAA policies and patient rights.
