Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA seeks a House Supervisor to ensure efficient hospital operations and safe patient care. You will coordinate clinical and nursing resources to optimize patient flow and work with department leaders to staff appropriately.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and the ability to respond to capacity and throughput challenges across the medical center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive management or house supervisor experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of JCAHO and regulatory requirements in acute care.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Current BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications.
• CA Registered Nurse (license) not applicable here; see Licenses section.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical and nursing resources to optimize patient flow.
• Collaborate with Capacity Management, Transfer Center, Care Management and hospital operations.
• Assess patient and employee safety and escalate issues as needed.
• Serve as liaison for teams within the medical center and leadership on call.
