Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a House Supervisor to oversee clinical and administrative operations, ensuring safe, efficient patient care and optimal throughput. You will coordinate resources, work with staffing and unit leaders, and escalate issues to appropriate directors while maintaining strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with hospital computer systems related to throughput.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive management or house supervisor experience.
• Knowledge of JCAHO and regulatory requirements in acute care.
• Supervisory experience in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications.
• Understanding of acuity levels for all patient populations.
• CSA: Bachelor of Science in Nursing for external candidates.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical and nursing resources to optimize patient flow.
• Collaborate with staffing office and unit leaders to ensure proper staffing.
• Manage house-wide throughput and escalate issues as needed.
• Act as liaison among teams and initiate interventions in leadership absence.
