Job summary

National Veterinary Associates is seeking a Hospital Operations Manager to lead practices in the North Austin area. The role reports to the Managing Veterinarian and focuses on revenue growth, cost control, and delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.

In-person presence at the hospital is a fundamental requirement. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in a managerial role, with experience in hospital or service industries, and a bachelor’s degree in business or related field

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role, including customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• Experience in hospital, retail, or service-based settings with increasing responsibility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete ownership of P&L, accountable for hospital performance.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to forecast hospital needs.
• Manage accounts receivable.
• Oversee hospital inventory and control costs.
• Manage payroll for hospital staff.
• Develop the hospital schedule and manage labor costs.
• Champion change and promote best practices.
• Lead the hospital team to improve processes across client service and operations.
• Implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
• Establish and drive the culture of the hospital.
• Track licensure for all DVMs.
• Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations.
• Demonstrate and reinforce the highest level of client service.

The Opportunity:

As a Hospital Manager, you will be an essential part of the hospital management team, collaborating closely with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the hospital. Your role will drive revenue, manage costs, and cultivate a hospital culture focused on top-notch patient care and exceptional customer service. You will oversee the planning and coordination of hospital operations while creating a supportive and cohesive team environment. Given the managerial responsibilities and the need for in-person interaction with clients and employees, regular on-site attendance is a fundamental requirement for this position.

Qualifications:
