Job summary

UW Medicine is seeking a Program Coordinator for Operator/Teleservices to support 24/7 on-call coverage across UWMC and Harborview Medical Center. You will coordinate schedules, train departments, and maintain directories using the Soft Agent system.

The role requires strong MS Office skills and the ability to handle emergency paging and call routing, ensuring timely and accurate information flows for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer the hospital on-call schedule for UWMC and HMC.
• Work with department representatives regarding scheduling of the on-call.
• Monitor schedules and ensure on-call information is up to date.
• Provide training to departments on use of the on-call system.
• Use MS Office products to maintain directories and prepare reports.
• Maintain staff, office, and on-call directories in the operator's Soft Agent system.
• Answer and transfer external and internal calls to UWMC/HMC main numbers; screen as needed.
• Provide paging services using staff directory and medical on-call schedule.
• Monitor and respond to alarms; dispatch emergency calls (Code Blue and others).
