Job summary

Banner Health in Sun City, Arizona is seeking a Nutrition Technician to support patient meal service by overseeing the tray line, loading trays onto delivery carts, and coordinating with dietary staff to fulfill patient requests. The role requires a high school diploma, strong customer service, and familiarity with nutrition services and standard diet orders.

Experience in hospital food service and ability to lead assignments in the absence of a supervisor are preferred; weekend and night shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
• Knowledge of nutrition services and diet orders.
• 3 years of related experience and/or education.
• Ability to lead assignments in supervisor's absence and work with hospital software and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with menu and tray meal service and forward requests to dietary staff.
• Edit patient menus and prepare production sheets for daily service.
• May lead tray assembly and ensure food presentation meets quality standards.
• Deliver and serve meals and handle special requests and nourishments.
• Interact with patients, families, and staff while maintaining sanitation standards.
