Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana, is seeking a Nutrition Procurement Specialist to ensure the Nutrition Services team has the food, supplies, and inventory needed to operate efficiently.

You will manage purchasing from approved suppliers, maintain PAR levels, monitor weekly inventory turns, and support food safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Strong organization and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience managing inventory in food services.
• Ability to read and apply procedures and instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory and reduce waste.
• Understand workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Purchases goods from approved suppliers. Ensures quality of the products when received and appropriate inventory levels are maintained by managing weekly turns.
• Decides what and how much to order using PAR levels, engaging culinary members along with using other Intermountain tools
• Assists in keeping storage areas clean and organized and ensures all Joint Commission and Health Department guidelines followed
• Tracks and reports key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Supports food safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced healthcare environment
