Job summary

Intermountain Health Alta View Hospital is seeking a Food Service Associate to support patient meals and guest service. The role includes assembling and delivering trays, cashier duties, food preparation, serving, and cleaning in a hospital setting.

The schedule is full-time with 40 hours per week, and compensation ranges from $17.68 to $22.99 per hour, with shift differentials and benefits eligibility. 8-hour shifts and a variety of start times are available across the week.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho).
• Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.
• Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (e.g. salads, sandwiches, vegetables, fruit).
• Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (dining experience, meal delivery, stock levels).
• Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment.
• Performs accurate cash/credit transactions according to system standards and resolves basic customer service issues.
