Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant.
• High school graduate or its equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills.
• Certified in American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span, with consideration of aging processes and cultural patterns.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Skills.
• Basic Nursing Assistant Skills per Rhode Island licensing guidelines.
• Rehabilitation skills for activities of daily living and ambulation.
• Maintain safe environment; report safety issues and equipment problems.
• Communicate observations to Registered Nurse.
• Ensure infection control and accurate documentation in the EHR; may function as a patient observer.
