Job summary

PHS Bio-Medical Services seeks a Manager of Materials to lead hospital-wide purchasing, inventory control, and material systems, ensuring efficient flow from acquisition to disposition. You will drive budget adherence and participate in hospital committees. Strong negotiation and analytical skills are essential.

The role requires five years in Materials Management within acute care, plus a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and proficiency with Materials Management software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years management experience in Material Management in an acute care facility preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or sufficient equivalent experience in Materials Management.
• Must be computer literate and have working experience using software used in Materials Management.
• Effective negotiation skills and analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Directs hospital-wide purchasing and Material Management functions with responsibilities for hospital purchasing, inventory control, material systems and financial controls.
• Provides professional support in the areas of supply processing, distribution, purchasing, receiving and inventory management.
• Manage and control the flow of supplies and equipment from acquisition to disposition, with emphasis on budgets and asset management.
• Attend designated hospital committees and ensure adherence to guidelines per state, accreditation agencies and other authorities.
