Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Lehighton, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, test, maintain, install, repair, and modify hospital systems, equipment and structure. You will work closely with engineering staff to ensure reliability and safety.

The role requires strong practical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry or electronics, with three years of experience preferred and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience in trades within Engineering preferred; technical school certification may substitute for up to 18 months of experience.
• Valid state issued motor vehicle license.
• Technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry or electronics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, tests, maintains, installs, repairs, and modifies hospital systems, equipment, and structure; coordinates work when additional craftsmen are needed.
• Performs preventive maintenance and helps establish new routines in the zone.
• Communicates with supervisory/management, nurses, patients and staff to ensure optimal patient care and a proper environment.
• Works in accordance with local, state, and national codes; reports violations to Engineering supervision; uses hand, power, and test equipment.
