Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. is seeking a skilled facility maintenance professional to join the Plant Engineering team at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Schuylkill. The role focuses on maintaining electro/mechanical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe, efficient hospital environment.

You will work a day shift, with on-call responsibilities and potential weekend requirements, contributing to reliable utilities and building operations across the campus.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of progressive maintenance experience.
• 1 year with hand and power tools.
• Related degree/certification may substitute for experience.
• Able to work in tight spaces and follow safety protocols.
• Must have or be able to obtain PA driver’s license.
• Knowledge of universal waste procedures and used oil/ hydraulic spill cleanup.

Aufgaben

• Plan and execute general and specialized trades (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc.).
• Improve equipment, walls, doors, and hospital surfaces for safe operation.
• Repair and lubricate hospital equipment to ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain laundry, beds, wheelchairs, and surgical equipment.
• Construct and repair wooden structures within hospital buildings.
• Develop project supply estimates and document material/fiscal needs.
• Document repairs and report faulty equipment and systems.
• Answer monitor alarms during emergencies and manage boiler/secondary systems.
