Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician to join our Plant Operations team. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, maintain records, and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to support patient care.

The role requires two years in maintenance, a high school diploma, and a valid SC driver's license. Work schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with rotating weekends and on-call duties, and on-site operations at

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the maintenance field required.
• Ten years of skilled maintenance experience including electrical, air conditioning, and plumbing in a hospital, hotel, or manufacturing plant preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid South Carolina Driver License with clean driving record required.
• Maintenance experience in a hospital environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance of all equipment assigned to Plant Operations and Maintenance.
• Maintain preventive maintenance work order records reflecting labor, materials and costs.
• Perform mechanical repair, replacement, modification and installation on motors, bearings, seals, shafts, gears, housings, dampers, switches and controls.
• Maintain water heaters, boilers and associated equipment, plumbing lines, drains and related components.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with OSHA regulations in the use of tools and electricity.
• Replace lights, ballasts, fixtures, photocells, belts, filters and reset time clocks as needed.
• Patch sheet rock as needed.
• Use diagnostic skills to troubleshoot control circuits, mechanical equipment, electrical systems and plumbing.
• Read controls schematics and manuals.
