Job summary

Cone Health is seeking a Mechanic to support building systems by performing corrective maintenance and preventive tasks. The role operates on Sat & Sun Nights with two additional shifts during the week, totaling a 40-hour schedule.

Under close supervision, you will test, repair, and replace equipment as needed, document work orders, and coordinate with teams to minimize disruptions and maintain compliance within the hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related role is required.
• Valid driver's license is required (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, 5 years driving experience and MVR approval).

Responsibilities

• Assists with the testing and repairing of equipment and orders replacement parts as needed to deliver timely service.
• Helps to maintain a clean and safe work area in order to minimize risks and service disruptions.
• Prepares documentation of work orders, reports, and estimates for management review in line with compliance guidelines.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external teams to make repairs and deliver correct status updates.
• Handles equipment inspection rounds to ensure that proper tools and equipment are being utilized to eliminate risk to staff.
• Coordinates the leveling, aligning, and installing of industrial machinery on foundations or base plates for servicing.
• Provides general painting, refinishing, and repairs of walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
