Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hospital mechanical systems. The role covers HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components across the Brigham and Women's Hospital complex.

The position requires a High School Diploma or technical diploma and at least 2 years of mechanical/electrical experience. On-site work with possible on-call duties and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years mechanical or electrical experience required.
• Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and/or predictive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems throughout the hospital including fire extinguishers.
• Repairs HVAC systems in the hospital and conducts routine inspections.
• Inspects and diagnoses problem equipment and responds to emergencies when needed.
• Maintains a safe working environment in Engineering areas.
• Collaborates with other tradesmen as needed.
