Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain equipment, structures, plumbing, and electrical systems across the facility in New Orleans. The role includes on-site support for nurse call and fire alarm systems, conducting fire drills, and documenting activities to ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include daily preventive maintenance, investigating maintenance requests, and coordinating with other crafts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic/technician in a corporate setting.
• Driver's License - Class E - Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles.
• Operates hand tools, power tools, equipment and electrical testing equipment requiring manual dexterity.
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions, schematic drawings and layouts.
• Utilizes computer, printer, copier, telephone, calculator, cell phone and 2-way radios.
• Ability to work alternative/shift schedules including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime hours.
• Working knowledge of computer maintenance management software.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain equipment, physical structures, plumbing and electrical systems throughout LCMC Health.
• Provide onsite support for nurse call system and fire alarm systems.
• Perform required fire drills and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance inspections/repairs in assigned areas and document tasks.
• Investigate maintenance requests and locate/repair discrepancies.
• Ensure all work by other crafts is completed in assigned areas and take ownership of the area.
