Job summary

Rockford Center, a Rockford Center facility in Newark, DE, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a full-time day shift with rotating weekends and holidays. The role ensures a clean, safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, including specialized floor care and routine repairs.

Responsibilities include HVAC repair, general building maintenance, grounds upkeep, plumbing and electrical work, and event setup.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED. Previous hospital maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience: Two years of related maintenance experience; knowledge of facility maintenance, HVAC and plumbing.
• Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
• General repair, painting, and maintenance of building.
• Maintain grounds including ice/snow removal and parking lot upkeep.
• Carry out routine plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair.
• Prepare facility for special functions, including setting up tables, chairs and equipment.
• Respond promptly to alarms and codes per safety policies.
