Job summary
Encompass Health is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to ensure facility reliability and safety across hospital systems, including equipment, utilities, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and light construction. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and operational tasks to keep our inpatient rehabilitation centers running smoothly.
You will work with a dedicated team, have opportunities for growth, and contribute to a workplace near home while supporting patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in preventative maintenance and equipment repair.
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction.
- Healthcare experience is a plus.
- May require weekday/weekend/evening/night shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely test and operate EPSS systems and components.
- Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, oxygen, and telephone systems.
- Work independently within the specified time frame as assigned per job task under supervision.
- Maintain knowledge of facility systems and regulatory standards.
- Plan, interpret, examine, draw, and record work; report daily completion to supervisor.
