Job summary

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee general construction and maintenance of hospital facilities, under engineering leadership. The role involves diagnosing issues, coordinating vendor services, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

You will lead the facility maintenance team on building systems, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Associate degree in construction, engineering, or facility maintenance preferred.
• Journeyman license or trade certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' construction or maintenance experience, or 3 years hospital maintenance or mechanical systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the temporary shutdowns of facility equipment for renovations.
• Contribute to PM development, budgeting, system assessments, and life-cycle planning.
• Maintain emergency response procedures for failures of plumbing and other equipment.
• Coordinate contract services for general maintenance, repairs and installations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and take corrective or preventative actions.
