Job summary

San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a Lead Maintenance Worker to oversee maintenance of equipment, systems, and facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. The role also leads and mentors maintenance staff and is on-call based on hospital needs.

The position emphasizes safety, infection control compliance, and coordination with leadership to ensure high-quality maintenance work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years' experience in plumbing and air conditioning.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training before orientation.
• On-call availability; weekend, day and night shifts as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings and supervise staff in absence of the Director of Plant Ops.
• Perform maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
• Maintain oversight of work orders and preventive maintenance program.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control requirements.
