Medical Service Company is seeking a Hospital Liaison in Columbus, OH to manage in-facility communications with patients, clients, and case managers. The role supports home-care equipment setup, intake processing, and ongoing liaison activities within designated facilities.

The position emphasizes strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to drive to facilities as needed to coordinate care and services for home medical equipment customers.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of progressively responsible medical customer service experience.
• Knowledge of intake implications amid industry changes.
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills (TEAM player).
• Must be able to drive extensively as required for the position.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop and perform setup tasks during the workday.

• Responds to questions from Case Managers and referral sources about home-going equipment.
• Maintains open communication with patients and referral sources while in the facility.
• Markets MSC services to Case Managers and other referral sources in the facility.
• Maintains open communications with all referral sources and documents cadence.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Hospital Liaison is responsible for performing all tasks relative to institutional communications with the patient/client and referral sources within the designated facilities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Handles intake inquiries from Case Managers and intakes all pertinent customer order information including documentation required to meet coverage criteria.
• Assists with in-hospital set-ups for home-going oxygen and other home-going modalities
• Responds to questions posed by Case Managers and referral sources within the facility related to home-going equipment/supply needs, acting as a liaison between MSC and the facility staff
• Maintains open communication with patients/clients and referral sources, responding to patient/client questions and problems while still in the facility
• Markets our services to the Case Managers and other potential referral sources within the designated facility
• Maintains open communications with all referral sources and documents with whom and with what frequency
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalent.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Physical Requirements:

• One year (minimum) of progressively responsible medical customer service experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of intake implications of industry change.
• Excellent skill sets in communication and customer relations.
• Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (a TEAM player).
• Must be able to perform extensive driving as required for the position
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and perform setup tasks throughout the workday.
• Must be able to safely operate equipment and follow all safety protocols.
