Medical Service Co. is seeking a Hospital Liaison in Columbus, OH to manage institutional communications with patients, Case Managers, and referral sources within assigned facilities. The role includes intake processing, in-hospital setup coordination, and acting as the MSC liaison for equipment and supply needs.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of medical customer service experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive and lift up to 50 pounds; driving is required.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical customer service experience.
• Knowledge of intake implications of industry changes.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be able to drive extensively and hold a valid driver's license.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and perform setup tasks.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop for full workday.
• Must follow safety protocols when operating equipment.

• Assist with in-hospital set-ups for home-going oxygen and other home-going modalities.
• Respond to questions from Case Managers and referral sources about equipment needs, acting as a liaison between MSC and facility staff.
• Maintain open communication with patients/clients and referral sources while in the facility.
• Market MSC services to Case Managers and other referral sources within the designated facility.
• Maintain open communications with all referral sources and document frequency.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Hospital Liaison is responsible for performing all tasks relative to institutional communications with the patient/client and referral sources within the designated facilities.

• Handles intake inquiries from Case Managers and intakes all pertinent customer order information including documentation required to meet coverage criteria.
• Assists with in-hospital set-ups for home-going oxygen and other home-going modalities
• Responds to questions posed by Case Managers and referral sources within the facility related to home-going equipment/supply needs, acting as a liaison between MSC and the facility staff
• Maintains open communication with patients/clients and referral sources, responding to patient/client questions and problems while still in the facility
• Markets our services to the Case Managers and other potential referral sources within the designated facility
• Maintains open communications with all referral sources and documents with whom and with what frequency
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalent.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Physical Requirements:

• One year (minimum) of progressively responsible medical customer service experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of intake implications of industry change.
• Excellent skill sets in communication and customer relations.
• Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (a TEAM player).
• Must be able to perform extensive driving as required for the position
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and perform setup tasks throughout the workday.
• Must be able to safely operate equipment and follow all safety protocols.
