UF Health Jacksonville seeks a detail‑oriented Laboratory Technician to perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and clerical duties across lab departments. The role may require rotating between Pavilion, North Campus or Emerson and staying within scope of practice.

You will load specimens, handle outreach and reference specimens, maintain logs, and ensure timely results while upholding PPE and safety protocols in a fast-paced health care setting.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred certification in medical assisting or lab assistant.
• Less than one year healthcare environment experience required.

Mansioni

• Process and register specimens for clinical and anatomical pathology.
• Load specimens onto Automated Line and troubleshoot alarms.
• Register outreach and contract specimens and manage logs.
• Prepare specimens for testing and ensure proper patient ID.
• Follow PPE procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist with training and attend mandatory training.
