Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a dedicated cook to manage and operate the kitchen in hospital or long-term care settings. You will prepare large quantities of meals, follow menus, ensure safety, sanitation, and portion control, and support dietary staff when needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of hospital or LTC cooking experience, and a ServSafe certificate. You will work under supervision, present appealing dishes, and help maintain clean, organized kitchen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year cooking experience in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, sanitary condition.
• Prepare meals in large quantities following menus and portion control guides.
• Follow prepared diets and accurately prepare special diets.
• Record food temperatures for meals.
• Assist with serving meals and keep cooking areas and carts clean.
• Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
