Job summary

Advocate Health's St. Luke's Medical Center seeks an experienced foodservice professional for the Food and Nutrition department. You will supervise daily kitchen operations, prepare meals per standardized recipes, and ensure HACCP compliance in a fast-paced, hospital setting.

Must have ServSafe certification within 12 months and a High School diploma. The role includes 40 hours/week with benefits eligibility and weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification within 1 year.
• Typically 5 years of experience in a large-volume food preparation and distribution operation.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and kitchen safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor department operations and assign daily work.
• Train and guide staff; provide day-to-day direction.
• Ensure recipes followed; HACCP guidelines enforced.
• Manage portions, waste, and inventory; review weekly usage.
• Plan menus, catering events, and special meals.
• Complete production forecasting and sanitation checklists.
