Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Food Service Worker to support dietary services in Morgantown. The role requires maintaining sanitation, preparing meals, restocking, and providing quality service to patients and staff.

Shift schedules include evenings with 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, around 40 hours per week, with holidays and weekends rotating. Ideal candidates will hold a valid MCHD Food Service Worker Permit and demonstrate knowledge of food ingredients and allergens, plus

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Food Service Worker Permit(FSWP) from Monongalia County Health Department(MCHD) prior to starting OR obtain a MCHDTemporary FSWP no later than the first Wednesday of employment and a permanent MCHDFSWP within 1 month of start date (next available class).Must have a valid MCHDFSWP throughout employment.
• Shift varies with the main shift of 8p to 630a; 4-- 10hour shifts per week; Rotating holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all work areas for operation, per task assignment.
• Fills bucket with sanitizing solution, and a clean wiping cloth. Maintain sanitizer strength throughout shift.
• Set-up, restocks, clean and organizes assigned area as necessary. Maintain clean, organized appearance throughout shift.
• Gathers utensils based on correct portions.
• Produces and maintains quality food and beverage products.
• Prepares timely products, fresh throughout service and not in excess (batch production).
