Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah is seeking a part-time/PRN dishwasher steward to support the Culinary Services department. The role covers variable shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays with 2-3 shifts weekly common for PRN staff.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, cart collection from patient care areas, sanitation of dining and kitchen spaces, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals per Joint Commission and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work
• Reads color coded labels and chemicals and follows written and verbal directions
• Operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes dishes
• Collects carts with patient trays from hospital floors
• Cleans and disinfects assigned areas including dining areas using department cleaning procedures
• Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards
• Disposes of infectious waste and trash properly
• Operates and maintains equipment (e.g. commercial dishwasher)
