Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker for the 11903 Davie Medical Center - Food and Nutrition. This full-time role runs 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, with every other weekend and rotating holidays. You will prepare meals, ensure safety, and support a high standard of service for patients and staff.

You will monitor sanitation, follow recipes and HACCP guidelines, label and store leftovers, and work as part of a team to meet production schedules and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent and one year experience in a food service environment involving the production of food.
• Fluent in English and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital and departmental policies; interact with patients, customers, and staff to build relationships.
• Contributes to patient and customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service.
• Maintain a 97% sanitation rating by following sanitation policies and completing cleaning tasks.
• Prepare food according to recipes; monitor quality and adherence to guidelines.
• Follow HACCP documentation and labeling, dating, and proper storage of food.
• Participate in safety and training programs; support department performance improvements.
