Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, CO is seeking a Catering Cook to prepare foods for patients, families and staff. Shift is Monday–Friday with AM, PM flexibility and PRN as needed.

You will work under supervision, maintaining safety and quality while delivering friendly service in a fast-paced hospital café and catering setting. Responsibilities include cooking hot and cold items, rotating stock, labeling with dates, and ensuring sanitation and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent work experience.
• Three years of relevant work experience in lieu of a diploma.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks a variety of hot and/or cold food items for meal service in Room Service, Catering or the Cafe.
• Rotates perishable food items, checks and verifies food temperatures, labels products with expiration dates.
• May work at a station in the cafe serving customers.
• Provides a high level of customer service to team members, patients and visitors.
• Assists fellow team members as needed; assists with shift coverage as required.
• Maintains a clean workstation and equipment, observes scheduled kitchen maintenance, and adheres to sanitation practices per regulations.

Education
