Job summary

Intermountain Health in St George, Utah, is seeking a full-time Cook/Line Cook to perform a variety of food production duties under supervision. The role involves cooking, serving customers, and supporting large-scale meal preparation in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications include a Food Handler Permit or ServSafe by day one, and 1+ year of cook experience preferred. You will work 36 hours weekly (Mon-Fri, 6am-2:30pm) with comprehensive benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work.
• 1+ year cooking experience in restaurant or healthcare environment preferred.
• Must read and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Safe food handling techniques across applications.
• Understanding of workflow, prioritization and deadlines.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of modified diets and commercial cooking equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food; serve customers and complete other duties as assigned.
• Follow recipes and instructions for food preparation.
• May prepare bulk items, large-scale production, line cook, or assemble specialty meals.
• Maintain an organized, sanitary work environment and proper stock rotation.
• Interact with customers in catering, retail, or patient care settings.
• May deliver meals, cashier, stock, and operate ware-washing equipment.
