Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee is seeking a skilled kitchen production associate to prepare meals according to daily production sheets and recipes. You will measure ingredients, operate blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers and tenderizers, and ensure safe handling and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining time and production records, portion control, and reducing waste while adhering to dietary needs and patient-care guidelines.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically requires 3 years of food production experience in hospitality or institutional settings.
• Familiarity with diet restrictions and ability to adapt recipes accordingly.
• Strong time management and interpersonal skills.

• Reviews production sheets and recipes to ensure quality and quantity needed for items to prepare.
• Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Prepares foods by baking, roasting, broiling, steaming and slicing meats, fish, vegetables and cheeses.
• Garnishes, displays and serves food items according to standards and recipes.
• Ensures proper storage and rotation of inventories; monitors temperatures and safety procedures.
• Follows department standards for safe handling, storage and sanitation; maintains temperature logs.
• Monitors portioning and promotes food waste control; prepares in small batches to control waste/cost.
• Must demonstrate knowledge to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; adheres to age-specific needs as described in department standards.
