Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking an Insurance Specialist to join our billing team. You will call payors for payment, process third party claims, and verify eligibility, coding and authorizations to ensure accurate submissions. Ideal candidates have hospital billing experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong communication.

EPIC experience is a plus. HS diploma required. Schedule: 80 hrs per pay period, Mon–Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm; benefits include IPERS, insurance and paid

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital billing or clinic billing preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Calling payors for payment and processing third party insurance claims.
• Auditing claims for accuracy before submission.
• Handling day-to-day requests for insurance resubmits and inquiries.
