Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Business preferred.
• 3 years medical business office experience preferred.
• General knowledge of hospital policies and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written skills, pronounced organizational skills, accomplished analytical skills.
• Must have the ability to meet and communicate with staff, patients, visitors, and/or family members.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Patient Accounts Department.
• Monitors staffing, productivity, quality, fiscal accountability, budget, and continuous improvement for the areas of responsibility.
• Manages the operations of the department including human resources, legal and regulatory compliance, and providing professional and/or technical expertise.
• Responsible for maintaining billed accounts receivable within established standards.
• Acts as a role model for employees by initiating and accepting change.
• Has good knowledge of all areas within the patient accounting departments and leads to ensure all areas work as a team.
