Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hospital HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will diagnose failures, install or modify equipment, and interpret blueprints to plan piping layouts for complex facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade program preferred.
• Less than 1 year experience in commercial or residential HVAC or completion of approved apprenticeship.
• Chlorofluorocarbons Certification (CFC) required.
• Valid Drivers License; ability to drive RHS vehicles for work.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot failures and perform corrective maintenance on HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Install, recognize cause of faulty equipment, and modify/relocate equipment per plans.
• Read blueprints/schematics to plan piping installations and meet test conditions.
• Repair pipes, boilers, and related equipment; maintain heating, domestic, chilled water, and steam systems.
• Operate computer trace system to monitor HVAC controls; respond to on-call shifts and emergencies.
• Work with other departments on facility repairs and projects; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
