McLean Hospital is seeking a skilled HVAC/refrigeration technician for a full-time role based in Belmont, MA. You will install, operate, maintain, and repair hospital mechanical and HVAC systems, including control systems for building environments.

The ideal candidate has HVAC experience (1-2 years), hospital maintenance exposure, and the ability to work independently. Licenses are preferred; the role requires attention to safety and compliance with state codes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade/Technical/Vocational diploma in related field preferred.
• Experience can substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain hospital refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Design, install, and repair air duct systems and refrigeration piping.
• Service pneumatic and electronic control systems.
• Maintain cooling towers and chiller water systems.
• Service ultra-cold freezers and medical refrigeration.
• Maintain environmental conditions in research and computer areas.
