Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC seeks an HVAC Tech/Mechanic to support the North Texas VA Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with schedule changes at the direction of Ansible or its customers.

You will install, operate, repair, and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and chilled water systems across a range of equipment, including central plants up to 500 tons, in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of journeyman-level refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic experience.
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and chilled water systems.
• Experience performing repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on large commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience in hospital or critical infrastructure environments preferred.
• Active Texas HVAC License required.
• Siemens Controls Training certification required.
• OSHA Certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics.
• No sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, repair, and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and chilled water systems
• Work on equipment ranging from small domestic units to systems up to 300 HP and central plants up to 500 tons
• Inspect HVAC and refrigeration equipment for proper operation
• Perform preventive maintenance and both major and minor repairs
• Troubleshoot refrigerant leaks, mechanical failures, and control systems
• Service compressors and HVAC components
• Adjust, calibrate, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic controls
• Perform chemical treatment of HVAC water systems
• Coordinate daily work assignments with the VA COR
• Provide daily reports including completed work, preventive maintenance, parts replaced, equipment serviced, and follow-up needs
• Complete daily timecards and documentation of work performed
• Follow VA check-in/check-out procedures and safety requirements
