Riverside Health System in Newport News, Virginia, is seeking a qualified HVAC/R Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain complex heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the hospital. The role includes on-call rotations on weekends and holidays, emergency response, and coordination with subcontractors.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required or waived if hired prior to 2021.
• Trade or vocational training in HVAC/R and blueprint reading preferred.
• Completion of an approved apprenticeship program preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Install, replace, repair, and overhaul HVAC/R systems, boilers, pumps, valves, and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC/R equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions in electronic pneumatic control systems; replace valves and thermostats as needed.
• Coordinate with outside contractors as required; procure parts and services when needed.
• Respond to emergencies and on-call rotations; assist with disaster response when required.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to diagnose and repair units; ensure compliance with codes and Riverside procedures.
