Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to operate, repair, and maintain a wide range of hospital HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will handle boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and Building Automation System controls to ensure patient safety and asset protection.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years in the field, familiarity with Metasys/Siemens/Andover, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and relevant boiler licenses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school or higher helpful.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
• Familiarity with DDC and Building Automation Systems (e.g., Metasys, Siemens, Andover, TempTrak).
• Healthcare or hospital setting experience preferred.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification (Universal) and boiler licenses are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and air handling systems.
• Service refrigeration units, air compressors, and associated controls and pumps.
• Respond to HVAC complaints and provide customer service to hospital staff.
• Perform testing and balancing, water treatment, and data logging; maintain records in maintenance software.
• Maintain safety records, PPE, and ensure compliance with hospital codes and policies.
