Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Oakland in Pontiac, MI seeks a hands-on Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) for a full-time, on-site role. You will partner with HR Shared Services to deliver payroll, benefits, recruiting, and employee data management while supporting leaders and caregivers.

You will serve as the hospital's primary HR presence, coordinating the full scope of HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and helping shape HR strategy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field required; commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of the degree with approval of Corporate HR
• 2 years Human Resources experience required.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate day-to-day HR operations at the hospital level, ensuring high-quality execution across the employee lifecycle
• Partner closely with HR Shared Services to deliver payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, employee data, and HR administration
• Serve as a trusted advisor and service-oriented resource for employees and leaders
• Coordinate and support accurate payroll processing, timekeeping, and data integrity
• Drive and support talent acquisition efforts, including hiring coordination, onboarding, and workforce planning support
• Maintain compliance with employment laws, licensing requirements, and regulatory standards
• Act as the local subject matter expert for benefits, policies, and HR processes
• Support employee relations needs with professionalism, discretion, and consistency
• Play an active role in building and sustaining a positive, high-performing workplace culture
• Contribute insights that help shape HR strategy and operational effectiveness at the hospital level
