Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly cleans patient care, office, ancillary, and general use areas as assigned.
• Responds to urgent cleaning needs as observed or reported.
• Maintains adequate cleaning supplies and replenishes supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.).
• Safely operates electric vacuum cleaners and carpet spotting extractors.
• Assists in maintaining cleaning equipment and reports repairs needed.
• Removes all trash and potentially infectious medical waste (PIMW) in a timely and safe manner.
• Performs routine manual duties including room set-ups, curtain changes, and distribution of supplies.
• Identifies mechanical deficiencies and reports them for correction.
• Identifies floor maintenance requirements and reports them for correction.
