• Safely operates electric vacuum cleaners and carpet spotting extractors.
• Assists in maintaining cleaning equipment and reports repairs needed.
• Removes all trash and potentially infectious medical waste (PIMW) in a timely and safe manner.
• Performs routine manual duties including room set-ups, curtain changes, and distribution of supplies.
• Identifies mechanical deficiencies and reports them for correction.
• Identifies floor maintenance requirements and reports them for correction.

Responds to urgent cleaning needs as observed or reported.* Maintains adequate cleaning supplies and replenishes supplies (such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) for position assignment.* Safely and properly operates electric vacuum cleaners, and carpet spotting extractors as assigned. Assists in maintaining any and all cleaning equipment and reports any repairs needed.* Removes all trash and potentially infectious medical waste (PIMW) in a timely and safe manner ensuring proper disposal procedures are used.* Performs a variety of routine manual duties as required.
