Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an Environmental Services worker at Saint Mary’s Hospital for the Evening Shift. You will perform routine cleaning tasks across patient areas, restock supplies, and ensure sanitary conditions in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, adherence to safety with chemicals, and the ability to work with repetitive cleaning motions. Experience in healthcare cleaning is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic written instructions in English.
• 3+ months of cleaning experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Must be able to safely move, lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. individually.
• Requires working with cleaning chemicals and products in a safe manner.
• Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and other motions involved in the cleaning process.

Responsibilities

• Receives cleaning assignments and supplies; transports them to work areas.
• Cleans assigned areas with germicidal solutions; scours and polishes fixtures.
• Strips and makes beds with fresh linens; restocks supplies.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and buffers floors; arranges furniture after cleaning.
• Inspects area for cleanliness; reports equipment needing repair.
• Moves furniture and equipment with handcarts or dollies.
