Job summary

Windber Hospital Inc. seeks an Environmental Services worker to maintain hospital cleanliness and safety. You will disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, and equipment using universal precautions, and manage linen and waste across departments.

Outside grounds tasks and inventory management are also part of the role. Responsibilities include collecting soiled linens, transporting clean linens, and ensuring proper disposal of infectious waste.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of patient areas and facilities.
• Disinfect rooms, bathrooms, and equipment following universal precautions.
• Collect and transport linens, waste, and recyclables.
• Manage supplies and perform inventory and par levels.
• Assist with outside grounds maintenance and facility upkeep.
• Transport and process infectious waste as required.
• Clean and sanitize isolation areas and patient care spaces.
• Follow procedures and report to Environmental Services supervisor.
