Job summary

Lincoln Community Hospital and Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment across patient areas, public spaces, and offices. You will support infection prevention with routine and specialized cleaning in a Critical Access Hospital setting.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, using PPE, handling waste, and assisting with general environmental services, laundry, and special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, exam rooms, common areas, and offices per protocols.
• Terminal cleaning of patient rooms after discharge or transfer; cleaning isolation rooms as needed.
• Sanitizing medical equipment, furniture, and high-touch surfaces to meet health and safety regulations.
• Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care; proper waste and linen disposal per guidelines.
• Follow infection control protocols; use PPE and SDS correctly; report hazards promptly.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; stock supplies and notify when low.
• Interact professionally with patients, visitors, and staff; protect privacy per HIPAA.
• Assist with special projects and training; may participate in laundry or other duties.
