Job summary

Monroe County Hospital & Clinics is seeking an EVS/housekeeping team member in Albia, IA. Full-time, 40 hours/week, 5:00 PM–1:30 AM with flexible hours and rotation including holidays.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, corridors, and public areas, preparing rooms for occupancy, and assisting staff as needed. Requires a high school diploma and English proficiency; Mandatory Reporter certification or within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mandatory Reporter certification or within 90 days of hire.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to work in teams and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient areas and rooms clean (dust, sweep, mop, empty trash, restock supplies).
• Clean public areas and private offices, operate floor care equipment.
• Prepare patient rooms for occupancy per schedule.
• Greet patients/visitors and assist with directions.
• Assist with department huddles, trainings, and adherence to policies.
