Job summary

Baptist Downtown is hiring a Hospital Housekeeper to join the Environmental Services team. This role maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors and staff, performing janitorial and custodial duties across patient rooms, offices and common areas.

The position is full-time, dayshift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with rotating weekends and holidays. Applicants should have 1-2 years of Environmental Services experience preferred and a high school diploma preferred, and must follow safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 1-2 years Environmental Services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Sweeps, mops, dusts, and sanitizes areas including patient rooms, offices, bathrooms and common areas.
• Maintains cleaning supplies in accordance with OSHA requirements.
• Follows safety and security protocols; may perform other duties as required.

Baptist is looking to add a Hospital Housekeeper to join our Baptist Downtown, Environmental Services team. The Hospital Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Baptist is proud to utilize state of the art UV Disinfection Technology via UV Robotic Machines. These machines break down the DNA of germs in the hospital environment before manual cleaning of an area is performed, keeping our team members and patients better protected.

Shift Details

Full-Time, Days, 7a-3:30p. Rotating Weekends and Holidays are Required (40 hours per week)

Location

Baptist Downtown

Performs a variety of cleaning duties as assigned. Including janitorial and custodial services

Sweeps, mops, dusts, and sanitizes a variety of areas including but not limited to offices, bathrooms, patient rooms, non-patient areas, procedure rooms, common waiting areas, etc.

Maintains all cleaning supplies in accordance to OSHA requirements.

Maintains friendly and professional attitude.

Always follows safety and security protocols.

May perform other duties as required.

1-2 years Environmental Services Experience Preferred
