Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Hospital Housekeeper to join the Environmental Services team at Baptist Silverleaf FSED in Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean hospital environment using standard cleaning practices and advanced UV disinfection technology.

Shifts are full-time days, with rotating weekends and holidays. Requires 1–2 years of Environmental Services experience and a high school diploma is preferred. Primary location is Silverleaf MOB Building B in Jacksonville.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning duties as assigned including janitorial and custodial services.
• Sweeps, mops, dusts, and sanitizes offices, bathrooms, patient rooms, and common areas.
• Maintains cleaning supplies per OSHA requirements.
• Maintains friendly, professional attitude.
• Follows safety and security protocols.
• May perform other duties as required.

Baptist Health is looking to add a Hospital Housekeeper to join our Baptist Silverleaf, Environmental Services team. The Hospital Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Baptist is proud to utilize state of the art UV Disinfection Technology via UV Robotic Machines. These machines break down the DNA of germs in the hospital environment before manual cleaning of an area is performed, keeping our team members and patients better protected.

Shift Details:

Full-Time, Days, 7a-3:30p when scheduled Mon.-Fri., 7a-7p when scheduled on weekend/holiday. Rotating Weekends and Holidays are Required (40 hours per week)

Hospital Housekeeper General Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning duties as assigned. Including janitorial and custodial services
• Sweeps, mops, dusts, and sanitizes a variety of areas including but not limited to offices, bathrooms, patient rooms, non-patient areas, procedure rooms, common waiting areas, etc.
• Maintains all cleaning supplies in accordance to OSHA requirements.
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
• Always follows safety and security protocols.
• May perform other duties as required.

Hospital Housekeeper Experience

• 1-2 years Environmental Services Experience Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma Preferred
