Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Coordinator-Food Service at Lincoln County Medical Center to direct kitchen service activities, supervise staff, and implement established procedures. You will coordinate with hospital departments and ensure safety, quality, and patient-focused dining.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Dietary Management and up to one year of related experience, with substitution options for three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Dietary Management and less than one year experience in dietary management.
• Three years of application-specific experience can substitute for the degree or add to the requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectivs, quality assurance program, and safety standards.
• Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
• Coordinates loading, delivery, and pickup of food carts on schedule.
• Directs maintenance of department facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients and staff.
• Directs procurement of all food and supplies for the department.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops.
• Attends department head meetings, pharmacy and therapeutic committee meetings, safety committee meetings, and attends and participates on committees as directed.
• Plans and implements inservice education for staff development and provides nutrition education to patients and outpatients in the community as needed.
• Selects, orients, trains, and evaluates department personnel.
• Maintains appropriate department records.
